Am I a UOCAVA voter?

We work to ensure that military and overseas voters are able to vote as efficiently as possible from far away locations. These voters are called "UOCAVA" voters, termed by the Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA).

UOCAVA voters are:

  • A member of the Uniformed Services or Merchant Marines on active duty, absent from their place of residence;
  • An eligible spouse or dependent of a member of the Uniformed Services or Merchant Marines on active duty, absent from their place of residence; 
  • A U.S. citizen residing outside the U.S. temporarily; or
  • A U.S. citizen residing outside the U.S. indefinitely.
